Privacy Policy — Mnemoza
Last updated: 16 August 2026
The short version
Mnemoza keeps everything you do in the game — scores, settings, progress — on your own device, and never sends it anywhere. The one exception is advertising: the app shows ads supplied by Google, and Google receives the technical information it needs to do that. That section is below, in full.
What the app stores on your device
The app keeps the following in its own private storage, using a local database that no other app can read:
- your scores, round history and personal bests;
- your daily-challenge streak and unlocked achievements;
- your settings: language, appearance, sound, music, vibration, accessibility options;
- the names and colours you type for local two-player games;
- an in-progress round, so you can pick it up where you left off.
This information never leaves your device. It is not backed up to us, because there is no “us” to back it up to — the app has no server.
What the app does not do
- It does not ask you to create an account or sign in.
- It does not ask for your name, email address, phone number or age.
- It does not contain analytics or tracking of its own.
- It does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone or storage permissions.
- It does not contain chat or any other way to communicate with other people.
Advertising
Mnemoza shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. Ads appear on the home, result and statistics screens, and occasionally between rounds. They never appear over a board you are playing, and never during a two-player game.
To show them, Google receives your device’s advertising identifier and technical information such as device type, operating system version, approximate region and IP address. This happens inside Google’s advertising SDK; we do not see, store or have access to any of it, and it is not combined with anything the app keeps on your device.
Ads shown to children are not personalised. The app asks once, before the first ad, whether you are 18 or older. If you answer no — or do not answer — every request is marked as child-directed and non-personalised, and no advertising identifier is used for profiling. We store your answer only as “adult” or “child”; your age itself is never recorded.
In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom you are asked for consent before any personalised ad is requested, through Google’s consent form. Declining means you continue to see ads, but non-personalised ones. You can change your choice at any time from within the app.
Google’s own handling of this data is described in their privacy and terms.
Sharing
The app has “Share” buttons for your score and for the app itself. Choosing one opens your device’s own share sheet with a short piece of text. The app hands that text to whichever app you pick; it does not send anything anywhere by itself, and it does not know what you do next.
Children
The app is suitable for children. It asks for no personal information, has no chat and no user-generated content from strangers. Ads shown to children are non-personalised, come only from Google’s certified advertising network, and are filtered to a general-audience content rating.
The player names typed for two-player games are stored only on the device and are visible only to whoever is holding it. They are never transmitted.
Deleting your data
Two ways, both immediate and complete:
- Settings → Reset everything clears scores, streak, achievements and every preference, returning the app to its first-run state.
- Uninstalling the app removes its private storage along with it.
There is nothing stored elsewhere, so there is nothing else to request or delete.
Changes to this policy
If a future version changes what is collected, this policy will be updated before that version is published, and the “last updated” date above will change.
